Sustainability starts with a sustainable process.
At PERSU., we believe in a future where workwear seamlessly combines sustainability, functionality, and style. That’s why we work closely with every part of our supply chain—from suppliers to manufacturers—to achieve a minimal ecological footprint.

Working together for a sustainable future.
Every day, we strive to balance circularity, sustainability, and an ethical production chain. By choosing high-quality, reusable materials and producing close to home, we minimize our environmental impact. Our goal is to create clothing that is not only stylish and functional but also contributes to a better future.
At PERSU., we fully embrace the principles of slow fashion. With this mindset, we approach every design and carefully source materials that stand the test of time. By choosing high-quality, reusable fabrics and producing close to home, we minimize our environmental impact and prioritize sustainability from start to finish. Respect for people and the planet is central to everything we do. We ensure fair working conditions and uphold human rights across our entire supply chain. At the same time, we continue to innovate, setting higher standards for sustainable workwear with every collection we create. The longer a garment lasts, the better we’ve done our job.

One day we will be pioneers in sustainability.
Since 2010, we’ve been committed to transparent and sustainable production, always aiming for one ultimate goal: fully circular workwear. By making smarter choices every day, we’re steadily moving closer to that vision. We know that truly sustainable clothing doesn’t exist yet. That’s why we push ourselves to take the path of least impact—even when it’s the harder one. After all, we’ve only got one planet, and it’s up to all of us to take care of it.

Production in Europe
By staying close to the source, we ensure a sustainable approach. Every step in our process meets strict European quality standards.

Sustainable materials
We use sustainable materials without compromising on quality. Each material is carefully selected based on its origin, lifespan, and environmental impact.

Circular economy
We actively work to minimize our ecological impact by designing hospitality workwear that fully complies with the NTA 8195 standard for circularity.
Our policy for sustainable workwear.
PERSU. contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established by the United Nations in 2016. The SDGs we actively support include gender equality, clean water and sanitation, decent work and economic growth, responsible consumption and production, and climate action.
The steps we take.
-
The garment industry consumes more energy than the aviation and shipping sectors combined and causes 10% of global carbon emissions. We therefore favour working with recycled fibres to reduce the need for new raw materials. We keep our supply chain short by working with European suppliers and manufacturers, minimising geographical distances.
-
Unfortunately, 85% of worn-out clothing still ends up in landfills. PERSU. creates workwear with the longest possible technical lifespan and offers a recycling program. Together with GAIA Circular, we take back used clothing and process it responsibly, enabling materials to be reused in new ways.

-
Clothing production often negatively impacts the environment through chemical pollution of soil, air, and water. That's why at PERSU., we choose GOTS-certified organic fibers. Additionally, we use recycled fibers whenever possible and frequently opt for natural dyes and inks to help reduce harmful emissions.
-
The fashion industry is responsible for 20% of global wastewater and has an immense environmental footprint—just consider that producing one kilogram of cotton requires approximately 10,000 liters of water. At PERSU., we're mindful of these impacts and carefully select our materials accordingly. We continually seek the ideal balance between comfort, functionality, and sustainability, tailored specifically to the purpose of each garment. Through these thoughtful decisions, we consistently work towards reducing our environmental impact.

Minimalizing our carbon footprint with European production.
By partnering with European suppliers and manufacturers for fabrics and other components, we create a short supply chain that reduces our environmental impact. We enforce strict adherence to European regulations on responsible production, addressing both social and environmental factors. In addition, we annually review our collaboration with key partners to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Sustainable materials.
Our corporate clothing is designed with sustainability and timeless style in mind. We select materials that are resistant to wear, tear, and moisture, ensuring the garments remain functional both now and in the future. By choosing naturally robust materials, we contribute to a longer lifespan of the clothing, thereby reducing the need for frequent replacements.
We focus not only on the quality of materials but also on garment care. Therefore, we provide detailed maintenance instructions and actively encourage repairs and alterations to extend garment life.
Our philosophy is reinforced by certifications such as Ecovadis, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001. Additionally, we continuously strive to enhance the sustainability of our materials, contributing positively to the future of the clothing industry and our planet.

Recycling with Gaia Circular.
We can take back garments at the end of their lifespan or, upon request, provide GAIA Circular collection boxes for recycling.
GAIA can collect and register clothing in Cirmar’s material database. The garments are then sanitized, sorted, and evaluated based on their composition and quality. To ensure confidentiality, workwear with logos is securely handled.
The raw materials are reused in new products or incorporated into the development of fully circular products.
